Le texte de Stabat Mater Furiosa est surtout un appel au rassemblement. Cette parole urgente est le fruit de vécus atroces, et non d’une réflexion philosophique. C’est un poème dramatique qui a été écrite pour être dite et redite, ici et partout. Nous avons joué ce spectacle dans les plus beaux théâtres du Grand Est de la France, à Paris et à Avignon. Maintenant nous souhaitons le jouer dans les écoles, les bibliothèques, les cafés de la ville, dans tous les lieux publics susceptibles d’être menacés en temps de guerre.

Stabat Mater Furiosa is a powerful, eloquent and hard-hitting theatrical poem, written from the point of view of a war survivor; a woman torn physically and morally apart by atrocities engendered through hate and violence. Yet it is also a cry of hope and peace, full of love for the simple things in life that we so often take for granted.
Interpreted by Catriona Smith Morrison, the words edify and at the same time smack with the physical energy necessary to play such poetry. The power and magnitude of language is offered as an alternative to hate and battles. With precision, power and sensitivity, Patricia Dallio’s electronic musical composition and live performance tune in with the words, revealing new depths and emotions relevant to the play.
This theatrical poem brings us face to face with the paradox of human nature, with its capacity for both extreme violence and infinite gentleness and loving.
We have performed this play in the best theatres in the east of France. We have taken it to Paris and to the Avignon theatre festival. Now we have striped it down to its bare essentials in order to play in schools, cafés, libraries and all public spaces taken for granted in peace time but that would be threatened by war.
